Greetings from the Chair Director
Thank you for visiting the website of The Japanese society for Rich Community Renovation (hereinafter referred to as the Society). My name is Tokiya Nitta and I am the Chair Director of the Society. Thank you for your continued support.
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed our living environment and lifestyle. Until now, the way of life that depended on "things and money" for happiness was brilliantly blown away by the corona crisis. As we live in the After Corona, it is important to pursue the original happiness by reviewing the essence of happiness and intending to return to the origin of "people". This is the motivation for launching the Society.
This pandemic, from the modern history of each country obsessed with "things and money", coupled with the progress of the information revolution, may have opened the history of humankind on a global scale, centered on environmental issues and the happiness of "people."
It is no exaggeration to say that we are alive during the changing times.
The following organizations that carry out important activities for us living in After Corona are cooperating with the Society.
Cooperating organizations to the Society (with legal personality)

For details on each organization, please visit the introduction page, but what all organizations have in common is that "people" are the main constituents. It seems natural that "people" are the main constituents, however, this crisis made us aware of that. It is a society that is free from "things and money".
The purpose of this society is to engage in activities and research to realize a "Rich Community" where "people" can take the lead in pursuing the original happiness. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Provide opportunities for social participation
“We have to put volunteers in the economic gears.” While teaching as an associate professor at Tokai University, he also serves as a representative of six NPO corporations and organizations, and thinks about the structure of the economy. He continues his activities with the idea that he can commercialize the feeling of satisfaction and the connection with people through volunteering.
He moved to Odawara in April this year. He soon established the 'Flower and Food Odawara Community Development Association' to provide a place where volunteers can experience his tier casually. Currently, Misanga is made twice a month in the city. They will be sold and the proceeds will be donated to children receiving treatment for childhood cancer. Based on his experience so far, he said, "If you put too much effort into it, it won't last." Students, working adults, and even some people who participate to make friends or reintegrate into society.
Born in Ujina, Hiroshima Prefecture. He grew up about four kilometers from the atomic bombing site. In an area where peace studies are popular, he recalls, "Looking back, this experience may have been at the root of his current activities." After graduating from college, he began studying economics with the application of statistics in graduate school while teaching mathematics in high school. In 1998, he entered Tokai University. In addition to lecturing on regional economics and community development, he also participated as an advisor to a council for attracting tourism. The turning point for him came in 2016, when he experienced the Kumamoto Earthquake while enrolled at the Kumamoto Campus. Seeing victims stand up, he said, "It changed my outlook on life. I felt the importance of helping each other." Since then, volunteering has become a staple of his life.
Speaking of Odawara, "Isn't it famous for Uirouri (outdoor sale)and pickled plums, which also appear in 'Tokai dochu hizakurige'(a humorous adventure story of 2 men who travel along the Tokaido highway on a pilgrimage to Ise shrine in Edo period) " As you walk through the town, imagine the old scenery. Sales of “volunteer tours”, where visitors can participate in beautification activities while experiencing history and food, are not far away.
